Now you can reach down to the bottom of the door latch where there is a 1 round plastic tab.
The lid lock is a default feature of your maytag front loading and top loading washer to prevent opening the appliance while the cleaning cycle is in progress.
Plug the appliance into a grounded 3 pronged outlet per the installation instructions.
I will try and unlock it via the lower panel access.
The door is also locked.

Pull on this tab to manually unlock the door.
A lock icon appears on.
Run a drain and spin cycle.
If it still won t work then unplug the washer and remove the screws coming in from the back of the top panel.
Reconnect power to washer plug in.

The top panel will then pull straight back up and off.
You will have to remove the dispenser bezel trim to access the cord to pull it to open the locked door.
Some will fill with the lid open but will not advance if the lid remains open.
Some models have lights on the console which show when the lid is locked.
Without a model number i can t give you a specific answer but if you have a maytag mah style front load washer the door can be unlocked by pulling the release cord located in the dispenser area.
Close the washer lid before starting the washer.
If the washer does not unlock at the end of a wash cycle unplug the appliance or disconnect power.
The washer will drain after 10 minutes if the lid remains open.
Wait approximately 2 minutes for control to reset.

It s possible the drain hose extends more than 4 5 114 mm into the standpipe.
